What's important

The kids and I went out to Mare Island today to do a portrait shoot. I was experimenting with an old Canon Speedlight 188a and a Cowboy Studios wireless flash trigger with the flash on a tripod.  Additionally, the lens on my X Pro 1 for this shoot was a 35-105/3.5 Canon FD zoom.

The weather was not cooperative – it was cold, foggy and drizzling.  Great weather if you’re a duck, which none of us is.

As this was my first endeavor into anything other than available light portraits, I think the results were encouraging.  I know the kids enjoyed seeing their photos as I pulled them off of the camera!
